Bill Whittle debates Hillary Clinton

1

Amid the euphoria of Donald Trump’s utter demolition of Hillary Clinton in the second US Presidential Debate, it is worth casting our minds back to the unsettling fortnight which followed the first debate, during which a reserved Donald Trump appeared to pull his punches. For a lot of people opposed to Clinton, it wasn’t so much what Trump said, as what he didn’t say, that was perplexing.

Bill Whittle, who has been a prolific commentator for the conservative side of politics for about a decade, and has mastered the art of communicating the logical and moral core of an argument succinctly and in an engaging manner, took it upon himself to make the case against Clinton himself. In this series of six videos, Whittle dismantles the Clinton arguments made during the first debate, and presents clear, compelling alternatives. (Members of www.billwhittle.com can watch the series as one video – something which I strongly recommend, as there is plenty of excellent, members-only material on the site.)

In this first video, Bill Whittle debunks several “progressive” lies which permeate mainstream political discourse, and which were repeated, bald-faced, by Hillary Clinton during the first debate: the minimum wage; the so-called “gender wage gap”; the idea of “profit sharing” by business; and the sloganeering regarding the wealthy paying their “fair share” of taxes.

Secondly, Whittle explains how Democrat government policy caused the Global Financial Crisis by forcing banks to provide loans to those who could not afford them.

Thirdly, Whittle exposes the economically disastrous Democrat policies of government subsidies for renewable energy, the ridiculous regulations holding back the spread of cheap energy in the US, and the failed climate change models upon which such woeful policy is based.

Fourthly, Clinton’s utterly hypocritical statement on cyber security is torn to shreds, and the extent of her treason is revealed.

Bill Whittle bravely and correctly distinguishes himself from the left, and even from many on the right and alt-right, who opposed the invasion of Iraq, by pointing out that it was not the invasion of Iraq which created ISIS, but in fact its abandonment by Obama and Clinton. There had not been an American combat fatality in Iraq for the last 5 months of American occupation, but the failure to negotiate a Status of Forces agreement with the Iraqi government left it utterly defenceless, and created the vacuum which allowed ISIS to form. Aside from this important nuance, Whittle stands alongside Trump and the majority of Clinton’s opponents in pointing out that her foreign policy has been utterly disastrous for the Middle East.

Finally, the historical lesson of Allied appeasement of national socialist Germany is used as an example of how American weakness is emboldening its enemies, and actually putting more lives at risk.

Trump’s resurgence aside, this series of videos shows how Bill Whittle would make a fine candidate himself for President, perhaps in 2024.
