Quote of the Day: Census Fail, Because Government

12

imageThis evening, someone asked me what was on for tonight. I told them I was looking forward to completing my census form online. They asked me words to the effect of “Why the hell would you want to do that?” I replied, “Because I am a nerd.”

Sadly, government let me down. As somebody said somewhere on the internet, “24 million people, one website, what could possibly go wrong?” Not only is the census website down, the hotline set up to help people complete the census is asking people to call back in a day or so. At least we won’t get fined.

If ever you wanted an example of why taxation is theft, this is it. Admittedly, the focus on online completion of the census was supposed to save money, but in government, policies often lead to outcomes completely the opposite of what was intended. Perhaps this is a job for Australia’s sole remaining bureaucrat..

We’ll leave the last word to the XYZ’s Keating:

“Screw the census: According to the left, we are all Muslims. Transgender-self-hating-green-voting-anti-white-hipster-racist Muslims, and we love the Government and the NBN.”
