Food for thought – Labor’s leaking censure ship

The Honourable Warren Truss, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, set Labor straight yesterday over a request for an unwarranted apology for Bill Milby of North Star Cruises (a company that employs 50 people and operates on the Kimberley coast of Western Australia).

Minister Truss stated “Mr Milby wasn’t advised to take any course of action. No one from my department has ever said to Mr Milby he should sack his crew or reflag his vessel as has been reported. That is inaccurate,”

“They discussed a range of options. At no stage did the government tell him what he should do. He makes his own decision as a responsible businessman.”

“Labor is trying to make a big noise about these trivial issues to cover up their own failure, their own failure in relation to shipping reform. Their own shipping reform was a disaster.”

Once again Warren has concisely deconstructed the bulldust from the opposition in his rustically ripper Aussie accent.

Food for thought.
