Food for thought – Please explain the Lefty lunacy

Today I was reflecting back on my earliest memory of political interest. Honestly I don’t recall the election of John Howard (someone I now regard as the finest Prime Minister in my lifetime), but I can very clearly remember the times that surrounded the Hanson phenomena.

Pauline Hanson embodied the politics that I largely observed to reflect the typical blue-collar worldview where I grew up. Frankly her raw speaking influenced me significantly when juxtaposing the city-centred mentality against rural and regional Australia.

To be honest I consider the general worldview of most metropolitan based Australians to be of a contemptuous nature towards those of us who have lived our lives out bush.

When I recall closely, the most damning indictment I could make against these self-righteous cosmopolitan trendies was when their zealous protests erupted in violence against Hanson supporters (and it was common-place).

This time last year I put together a video illustrating those times with the present hyper-apologetic politics which permeate from metropolitan leftist cadres to all corners of Australia.

These sorts of hyper-apologetic gestures compliment the observations attributed to Sir James Michael Goldsmith when he said “Tolerance is a tremendous virtue, but the immediate neighbors of tolerance are apathy and weakness.”.

Food for thought.
