Food for thought – Trump is pure Americana

Any person who can see and hear knows that Donald Trump epitomizes unapologetic extravagance (garnished with an unconquerable ego). Promulgating the “think big” attitude, Trump’s campaign slogan ‘Make America Great Again’ explains his tremendous success at cornering the American populist voter market.

If I were to analogize the political phenomena that is Donald Trump I would put it like this: think of America as being Elvis Presley and Donald Trump as being Colonel Tom Parker. America may have talent but Trump has a fanatical business sensibility that will maximize the profit of America’s potential.

Another analogy would be America as a burger and Donald Trump as Ray Kroc (founder of McDonalds). As Kroc would say “I didn’t invent the hamburger. I just took it more seriously than anyone else.”

Another one could be something like: Donald Trump’s literary success with The Art of the Deal is comparable to L. Ron Hubbard’s Dianetics on the New York Best Seller’s list. Certainly not calling the Trump brand a cult by any means, merely saying Trump’s take on self-help is downright charismatically cut-throat.

When contrasted with the bland screechy communist, Hillary Rodham Clinton, one can only conclude that Donald Trump’s fierce grasp of the American dream is clad in bold gold letters.

Food for thought.
